Tahir Qazi has more than 20 years experience in technology leadership, holding management positions with companies, such as Comcast, AT&T and Cingular Wireless. He currently serves as CEO of iQuasar LLC, a software and IT solutions company in Sterling, VA. Mr. Qazi serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity of Burlington County (N.J.), The Internship Institute and the Kashmir Education Initiative. He earned his master’s degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and his MBA in strategic management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Khalid Iqbal is a alumnus of Government Medical College, Srinagar. After his residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Buffalo, he completed his fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Miami, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Nephrology at Emory University. He previously served as the Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami for two years, after which he moved to Atlanta where he has been practicing as a partner at “Atlanta South Nephrology” since 2006. He currently serves as the Chairman, Department of Medicine at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center, a member of the governing board at the same hospital, and the Director of Clinical Informatics. He was awarded “Physician of the year for quality, safety and innovation” in 2016 by Wellstar Healthcare. Along with the other board members of Revive Kashmir, he shares the passion to give back to the people of Kashmir and help, in any manner, large or small, to revitalize the economy of this state.
Naureen Haroon is an Assistant Professor at the Midwestern University Chicago College of Optometry. She is an optometrist by training and completed her residency in the area of Ocular Disease at The Ohio State University. When she is not working, Naureen enjoys going on medical mission trips across the globe and conducting research in the area of public health and ocular disease. She is a public health advocate and focuses her time on serving those without access to healthcare. Naureen was born in Kashmir but was raised in the Metro Detroit area.

Samma Hafeez currently works at CareCloud – a health IT company that is transforming the healthcare experience for physicians and their patients. She has a background in client services, technology, non-profit leadership, and international development. Her past work has involved interventions in public health, rural finance, and women’s economic development with recognized international NGOs and has spanned multiple geographies (Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America), including her birthplace, Kashmir. She grew up in the DC area and pursued her education at the University of California, Berkeley and the London School of Economics.
Samma Ishaq Hafeez
Manzoor Mir currently holds a divisional finance management position in the FP&A department of a leading worldwide food and beverage manufacturing company. He has acquired over 20 years of industry experience in the Middle East and North America Business Units. In his various roles, Manzoor has developed Business Unit financial policies and procedures, managed national & international accounts for franchise business operations, and implemented global control standards and various efficient processes based on Lean Six Sigma principles. He is passionate about the amelioration of socioeconomic conditions in Kashmir, and has been an ardent supporter of the Cancer Society of Kashmir since its inception. Manzoor received his Masters in Commerce & Management Studies from the University of Kashmir.
Manejeh is a physician by training and was born and raised in Srinagar, Kashmir. With a career focus in the medical device industry Manejeh is currently a Medical Director with Medtronic Neurovascular. Manejeh has worked on several important global clinical trials contributing to evidence based medicine. Though thousands of miles away from her beloved homeland, she is passionate about social, cultural and economic revival of Kashmir. She believes strongly that with the right opportunities, positive spirit and steadfast perseverance towards common goals, Kashmir with its richly talented and resilient populace can become a model of peace and prosperity in South Asia.
Manejeh Yaqub, MD
Khalid Bashir, MD was born and raised in Kashmir. Attended Medical School at the Government Medical College, Srinagar and immigrated to the US in 1996. After training at SOCH Buffalo in Internal Medicine, Khalid completed his fellowship in Nephrology at SUNY, Buffalo. He has been a practicing Nephrologist since 2001 first in in Long Island, NY following which in Macon, GA. Currently Khalid is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Morehouse and the Vice Medical Chief of Service at the Grady Health System in Atlanta,GA. Khalid in his distinguished practicing career has been chosen “Physician of the Year” twice at Morehouse. Khalid is passionate about giving back to his beloved homeland and contribute towards the upliftment of needy and deserving Kashmiri brethren in particular. Khalid continues to be passionate about serving the underserved, underprivileged, undocumented minority population in Greater Atlanta and is currently President of Dunwoody Community Center/Masjid Uthman in Dunwoody, GA.

Marina Sofi works in the Business and Technology industry as an Enterprise Account Manager at Microsoft. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York with a Bachelors in Management Information Systems. Even though she was raised outside the valley, she lives and breathes Kashmir, and dreams of seeing peace and tranquility return to the valley. Outside work and Kashmir, she is passionate about women empowerment, youth development and animal welfare.
Yawar Nahvi is a semiconductor hardware professional and currently works as a Senior Process Design Kit (PDK) engineer for Silicon Valley based Silvaco Inc. Born and raised in the Kashmir valley, Yawar received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Srinagar. He came to the US in 2004 as a student at the State University of New York at Buffalo and graduated with a Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering. He considers himself very fortunate to be working with this enthusiastic team of individuals who come from diverse backgrounds but share a common goal of promoting socio-economic development of Kashmir.
